We were able to catch a ride on a C-41 to Germany.  Because it seats six passengers...and we took up five of those seats...we felt like we were on our own private jet. hehehe.

I am facing Robert, our knees are touching...it's a very tight space, indeed!

I take a picture of Connor...who looks like he's ready to flirt with the stewardess ("Hey Baby!") but alas, there is no such person aboard...he'll have to save his charm for the ladies on the ground.

The sun sets over the wing as we move closer to our destination.

Our friends took us on a tour of the special plane he flies.  That was interesting and fun.  : )

Driving around Germany was fun but had a surreal feeling to it.  Having never studied German, I had no clue what the street signs said.  hehehe.

I loved driving through the villages...like this one...click on the picture to see it better.

Smoking is big in Germany, as evidenced by the many cigarette machines we saw when driving around the villages.

There's one toward the bottom middle of the photo on the left.  If you want to see the picture better, click on it and you will see it larger.

Even though it was cloudy and rainy most of the time we were there, I had to at least try to capture some of the scenery like these windmills.

Our two day visit with our friends turned into six when there were no planes going back to England when we'd hoped!

Robert's leave ran out and had to fly back commercial and then fax a letter saying that the boys & I were allowed to travel Space A without him.  With one of our friends having left for a TDY and Robert leaving to get back to work....my friend & I were alone with five boys in a foreign land.  It was interesting, to say the least.  We did find out that it takes about five days for the newness to wear off and the boys to start acting more like brothers than friends.

I think Belinda & I would have had more fun if the Dads had been around to entertain the boys!  She & I never got to do some of the things we had hoped for.  Perhaps next time we will get some more "momma time" to relax.  : )

After a nice lunch with Belinda and a few panic-filled moments when I couldn't locate William in the air terminal (and it was boarding time for our plane!!), the boys  & I ended up flying out on our military's largest airplane.  That thing is a huge, monstrous beast that defies all logic & gravity!  hehehe!  But we were thankful for the lift home (the boys had missed two days of school already!).  On this plane there was a lot more room to stretch out and the older boys made good use of their time.

Josh fell asleep...

...so did William...

...but Connor laid his head down for all of five minutes and spent the rest of the flight fidgeting and talking about everything under the sun...which wouldn't be that bad if I hadn't been so exhausted!
